All of my grandparents, maternal and paternal, came to America from Yugoslavia. It’s been my lifelong dream to visit Slovenia and Lake Bled has always had a special calling for me. I surely hope that one day I will see the Pilgrimage Church in person as well as the places where my grandparents grew up; Ljubljana, and Grohovo pri Cerniza (sp.???). I have a sister and a cousin who are very interested as well. But, I would love for my husband to see the land of my heritage too. Family names are Petrich (maternal) and Lunka (paternal).
beautiful pics. We got married in the church in 2007 and it truly is one of the most beautiful places on earth. Lovely scenery and lovely people. Can’t wait to go back again with our daughter.
